WorkbookAPI

Embed your Excel calculator on a website.

WorkbookAPI checks your Excel quote or ROI calculator in the browser for free, with shareable and embeddable web forms planned for early access. Visitors need a simple web form, without downloading a workbook.

Check your workbook — free, it never leaves your browser

A spreadsheet download interrupts the next step.

A business owner, marketer, or analyst may already have the calculation in Excel. The website needs a few inputs and a useful answer. Visitors should not have to find the input cells themselves.

Why the usual options hurt

Rebuilding the calculator in code means copying every formula change. Running Excel on a server adds maintenance. Emailing results by hand delays a quote. A spreadsheet screenshot cannot calculate new inputs.

How it works with WorkbookAPI

Drop your calculator into the free browser check. See which formulas compute exactly like Excel before building the form.

Recalculate and save in Excel first. The report compares formula results for the saved inputs and highlights differences.

Today, only the browser check is live. Shareable and embeddable web forms are planned for early access. Join the waitlist on the home page.

The planned form will collect inputs and display calculated outputs. The model stays in Excel with its owner. Updating the workbook will update the form's calculation.

Illustration: a time-savings calculator

A lead-generation page could help a visitor estimate hours saved by changing a weekly task.

This illustrates a calculator idea, not a live widget or a claim about customer results.

What is not supported

Macros/VBA, Power Query, pivot tables, what-if data tables, and links to other workbooks are not supported. Strict Open XML files are also unsupported. The report flags them.

FAQ

Can I embed an Excel calculator on my website today?

Not yet. Shareable and embeddable web forms are planned.

Could I use the calculator on a WordPress site?

An embeddable form is the planned route for websites, including WordPress.

Would I need to rewrite the formulas for a web form?

The planned form will calculate from the workbook's supported formulas. Check compatibility first. The owner will keep editing the model in Excel rather than maintaining another formula set.

Does my calculator leave my browser during the check?

No. The workbook never leaves your browser during the check. Only anonymous totals are counted, never values, formulas, or file names.
